This set is from an early run which was made by Tony Lackner (a very skilled German builder, unfortunately no longer with us) for Eckhart Boettcher.
The performer introduces four small, nicely decorated dice that show the suit of a card on one side, all the other sides are white. Two wooden tubes that fit over a stack of two dice at a time are also introduced. Of course dice and tubes can be shown on both sides. The two dice decorated with the black symbols are tacked and covered with one of the tubes, then the same happens to the two red ones. Immediately the performer lifts both tubes and each stack has now a red suit and a black suit, so two dice must have migrated…..this is repeated, the performer again stacks tow black suits and covers them and then the two red suits and covers those as well……when the tubes are removed it is seen that one of the dice on each side again has changed places. This time both stacks are covered up immediately and when the tubes are removed all is back in order with spades and clubs on one side and hearts and diamonds on the other.
Eckhart supplies an entertaining routine in which two young ladies and two men are up to some mischief but do not get caught.
Please note the original German instructions are supplied. You have the option during checkout to add an English translation for your own use for a fee (varies per item). These translations are time consuming and in the past I have factored the price into the sales price of an item. This seems unfair to customers who are familiar with an item and do not need those translations. The translations must be added when purchasing the piece as I will still need the trick in my hand to follow along as I translate. Please allow up to one week additional delivery time when the translation option is added.
The dice are approx..1 9/16″ and the tubes are approx. 3.25″ so a great Close-Up size.
