Z-Ray – Ton Onosaka

A Spectator chooses a playing card from a deck. In order to determine the selection, the magician introduces the latest in technology. The Z-Ray Camera, so named because it goes beyond the old-fashioned x-ray and actually goes inside a person’s brain!! The camera is displayed. It looks remarkably like a packet of five cards, with normal backs. On the face sides the cards all show identical pictures of the Z-Ray Camera. On of the camera cards are positioned cross-wise above the others. The participant is asked to turn profile, as the performer “snaps a photo.” The cross-wise camera is dealt aside. Suddenly, the photo magically “develops”–the pictures on the four remaining cards instantly transform into a “portrait” of the spectator, revealing the contents of the brain: The chosen card!!
