Steve’s magic is always clever and offbeat and this is no exception. You start out by showing a penny from both sides and introduce a black rod. You show on both sides that it is just that, an ordinary piece of black plastic. but when you cover the end of the rod for a mere second a miniature Dime appears affixed on the rod, there is a second one on the other side…..You use the penny again to cover the tip of the rod and suddenly there are two miniature Dimes affixed on both sides, but just as fast as the second Dime appeared it disappeared again and you are left once again with one Dime…..maybe the Penny is confusing the spectator, so you ask them to hold it for safekeeping in their closed fist. You show the miniature Dime at the end of the rod and without cover it disappears, as can now be shown on both sides….Where did the time go? Ask the spectator to open their hand and take a look at the penny, embedded within the penny the audience now sees the miniature penny. You probably guessed it….it involves a paddle move but the reaction to the special penny is worth the price of admission.
