This is a very collectible piece manufactured by Thomas Pohle for Eckhart Boettcher’s Zauberbutike more than 20 years ago. Great condition!
A miniature chest decorated with Egyptian symbols is introduced. When the lid is opened a gold decorated plate becomes visible. When the plate is removed the two small boxes become visible one green, the other red. A spectator is allowed to freely (really!) select one of them. Spectator places a small item of his choosing (a ring, signed coin etc.) in that box. The boxes are closed and the gold colored plate is inserted and the lid closed.
When all is opened again the item has disappeared from the selected box and appears inside the other.
