A packet of cards is removed from your pocket, or deck: first the backs, then the faces are shown one by one. The packet is divided into two and a card is selected from one pile which – you state – will act as a Psychic Medium. You now turn away while another spectator takes the remaining pile – shuffles it – remembers any card, then shuffles again. He never removes the card – he merely commits it to memory.

You now put all the cards (except for the Medium) into a dark place (your pocket) and ask the medium to help you to divine the card in the spectator’s mind. Despite the impossible conditions, you now already know the spectator’s card, so you can instantly eliminate all but one card – no questions asked – to leave you holding the correct card. Amazing! The audience think it’s over, but it’s not. Finally, you say, “You may not believe that this playing card really spoke to me? Well….some things are better left UNSAID.” At this, you turn the Psychic Medium Card, which has been in full view throughout, face down revealing the name of the selection written on its back!…..and…..Everything can be left for examination!
