The Stack of Nickels & Die is a classic routine from J.B. Bobo. Leave it to Al Cohen to turn it into a modern miracle….The props are used to illustrate an old gambling routine that was used to separate the punters from their money.
Show a roll of nickels, a small die and a small brass cup. Nickels are stacked on the table and the die is placed on top of them with the six side up. Covering the stack and the die with the cup, the magician then proposes to change the number on the die without touching the cup with his hands or removing it from above the stack. Someone then steals the die while the magician is not looking. But the magician accomplishes the impossible–not only does the die reappear, but he changes to spot on top of it in the process.
Cup precision made in brass.
