This is a very strong presentation for almost every performance. It involves very little luggage to carry around but plays massive to even the largest audiences (but also in smaller party circles). The initial work can be traced back to Maurice Fogel.
5 spectators in different areas of the audience are each given a small bag (the bags appear to be identical. While the magicians back is turned each one places a personal prop (keychain, credit card, wallet etc.) in a small bag. A sixth spectator collects the five smaller bags and mixes them. The bags are handed to the magician who takes randomly one of them and retrieves the item. He then correctly names the owner. This is repeated with the other four items.
Kid Show?
There is really not much mentalism that we would recommend for kid shows. However this might be a good exemption since the effect is so easy to understand. Invite five kids to help you with an experiment. Each of them is given a colorful bag. They are to go behind a screen where they will find a bucket of small toys (Dollar store). They are to select one of the toys and put it in their bag, then draw it closed and bring it back and place it on a table. All kids do this then the bags are mixed. Knowing the secret you will also know who selected which toy. It is great if you let the kids keep the toys at the end.
When we tell you that this can be easily learned in mere minutes you probably do not believe us but this is exactly the case with The Clairvoyant.
You receive the five fabric bags with instructions.
