This trick made me personally smile. It was created by Art Kahn of Zanadu Magic. When Art died I actually the remaining Zanadu inventory and production rights. I handled these for a few years and then later sold them to David Haversat who now holds these manufacturing rights. He has made an arrangement with my friends at Airship who are the only ones allowed to manufacture the item. They have now created a limited edition in Cambodian Rosewood and I was able to secure half the run for my customers at Tricksupply. The quality is outstanding and the trick itself is an absolute fooler, heck even some magicians have a hard time figuring it out. It is absolute automatic!
A box with a sliding lid is presented, the lid is removed and a half-dollar is place inside. An antique sword is place horizontally thru the box and slides in front of the half-dollar to hold it in place. The lid is replaced and one by one the two swords are thrust thru 2 holes in the lid of the box clearly penetrating the half-dollar inside. The swords can be seen going thru the entire box.
The spectator can even push the swords thru. There are absolutely no angles on this effect. Do it completely surrounded. The swords are removed one by one, the lid removed and the half-dollar dumped out unharmed.
The box and lid are hand rubbed with quality stain and oils. The swords used are authentic Antique Spanish Toledo Swords of Spain, now out of productions for decades. The ornate design on the swords are truly beautiful.
