Suggestics – Fl!p

This was released by “El Rey de la Magia” in Barcelona many years ago. Netherlands magic star Fl!p has written the routine and you will enjoy the concept. Here are excerpts from the original advertisement: “A bewildering series of observation tests to prove how easy is it to be deceived. A combination of old principles and novel twists, routined by Fl!p. In this manuscript you’ll find the explanation of a routine that has everything: An interesting subject, entertainment, surprise, humor, audience participation. It does not ask for difficult manipulations, only that you take the time to follow the directions as written and practice the easy handling well.’ The magician states that his tricks are possible by means of refined psychological strategies which make that one believes to see actions that in reality are not made and the other way around. He then offers to demonstrate: 1) Spectator and magician will get five playing cards….both are placing one card in the pocket, spectator has four, magician still has five 2) Spectator and magician go thru the same series of handling their cards. at the end all the magicians cards are backs up while the spectators cards are face up. 3) the cards are put together but now there are only seven cards (instead of the 10)…spectator counts to verify. 4) One card is taken away and six cards are expected….spectator counts into magicians hand but there are nine (plus the one that was taken away makes 10) 5) for a finale the cards are “honestly” divided between the magician and the spectator. as a result the magician ends up with all (spectator gets half the applause) 6) for the real finale magician ask spectator if he remembers the cards faces, he will reply that they were all the same. For the big surprise magician not only shows that all the cards were different but also their backs are completely different. You receive a copy of the nine page handwritten manuscript together with all necessary cards in Bridge size and a special plastic card case. In this day and age it would not be difficult to gather the necessary cards in Poker size if one preferred.
