A solid brass nut is openly threaded onto a cord or string — The spectator holds both ends of the cord to keep everything secure. The video shows an alternate performance where no spectator is needed to assist.

You drape a handkerchief over the nut, and, in an instant, you remove it from the string — without untying, cutting, or switching anything.

The brass nut and cord can be fully examined both before and after the effect.
