If you love Mental Epic, you are going to go absolutely nuts for Ted Lesley’s SlateSational!
Originally sold by Richard Himber in the 1950’s, Ted has taken the original one step further. Display a large slate, approx. 16″ x 20.” One side of the slate is covered with newspaper. Explain that it is really easy for you to read someone’s mind, but tonight you are going to make the audience read your mind! Three spectators are asked to help. No stooges.
Totally random spectators. The spectators are asked to name three different things. The choices are totally free. There are no forces of any kind. As they name their items, you write the words on the slate. Immediately, you tear the paper from the other side of the slate and show that the words you previously wrote exactly match the spectator’s choices! They have successfully read your mind! Further proof is that you wrote their words in white chalk, in longhand. Your predictions are printed in red chalk! This is just one of many routines possible with SlateSational! The slate is beautifully made in Germany. The surface is forest green with red lines. The frame is made of hardwood.
Ted Lesley has been performing this routine in trade shows with great success. Now it is your turn!
