A great warehouse find of a classic Emerson & West Trick.
The performer mixes some autographed cards and explains that they are signatures of famous film and television stars, one of which is his personal favorite. placing the autographed cards aside, the performer wonders if there is an affinity between the spectators name and his favorite star. he asks the spectator to write her name on the single card of the notepad. The number of letters in her name are counted. Performer counts off this number of cards from the packet and arrives at a star’s name. He claims that this is indeed by some mysterious coincidence his favorite star as well and to prove it he turns over the note pad and the star’s name is embossed in gold letters there.
The method described will arrive at 1 of two names, both have a reveal, one is as described the second one would be turning the notecard that the spectator wrote her name on over to reveal the name of the star. both are strong reveals.
The autographs are not real but artist renderings of what they could look like. The stars are big names like Paul Newman, Roger Moore, Telly Savalas, David Niven, however it would also be easy to make up other stars one you know the method.
Clever trick invented by Trevor Lewis.
Good condition given their age.
