Two different colored BIC pens are displayed. Spectator selects one of the pens and writes a brief message on a piece of paper. you ask if she knew why she chose that color pen. You then proceed to explain that the message she wrote is in longhand…..but the other pen would only write in shorthand! The remaining pen is then visibly compressed until it is only half of it’s normal length… and is immediately offered for examination. A clever trick, you use a pen many times a day, so this could be presented seemingly impromptu. Great conversation starter to let people know that you do magic.
