The condition is well used but makes a great display piece because of the vintage patina. Please take a look at the pic, it is a well-used piece. Modern instructions included.
This set has me stumped as far as the tubes with the dragons go, these would be more associated with a Thayer set. The fact that it comes not with a wooden rice vase but an aluminum one leads me to think that this set was made right around the transition from Thayer to Owen.
A number of stacked checkers are covered with a decorative canister, an orange is placed under a second cannister and a beautiful spun vase is filled with rice. Upon command the checkers jump to the cannister where the orange was. The orange is found in the vase where the rice where the checkers were.
