This is a Close-Up treasure released by Eckhart Boettcher’s Zauber Butike in 1993.
It is one of those tricks that seemingly give several spectators the chance to win a price. Everything is very straight forward but yet the last number which is your ends up winning.
You introduced a colorful little box with four sliding lids and explain that under each one is a prize, small or big. Three spectators are allowed to select a number from 1 to 4, each number can only be selected once. The last number is yours. You bring out an envelope containing 4 chips in different colors each with a number on it, each spectator gets the one with the number he selected. The color of the chip determines which compartment he is allowed to open.
The spectators one by one open their compartment and each one wins a small prize (a penny, a tiny chocolate or a voucher for something unusual but worthless)….by selecting the right prizes you can already create a lot of entertainment. Finally you (or somebody else for you) open the compartment which the spectators have left for you and it contains a neatly folded $100 dollar bill.
The simplicity of the method makes this a real winner. The interesting looking props add to the appeal of the routine.
Your receive all the necessary props and the Original instructions in German. The lucky buyer also receives an English translation for his enjoyment.
Crafted from Plexiglas (may vary from picture).
