I like this version of Needles thru Balloon a lot. It is in good used condition and allows the use of a large airship balloon and best of all there is no need to twist and pull on the balloon when it is inserted. Instead of one big balloon you could use several skinny balloons like those used to make balloon dogs.
A shiny metal tube is shown, and the audience is allowed to look right thru it. Then two spikes are inserted, and the audience can clearly see them on the inside of the tube. The spikes are removed, and a large balloon is inflated thru the tube. One by one the two large needles are pushed through the balloon without causing the balloon to burst. The needles are removed so is the balloon and the audience is once more allowed thru the tube.
I like this as there is no twisting or pulling of the balloon involved as in most versions. The gimmicks make this look very natural and they are deployed in full view of the audience without any fumbling.
A nicely made antique prop. Definitely not a cheap toy. Manufacturer unknown.
The metal tube is approx. 9.5″ tall and has an outside diameter of approx. 3.75″
Very brief English instructions are included.
