Not a sucker die box, although similar in effect! This is a very clever vanish of a block invented by Jimmy King and first sold by U.F. Grant and then later by Mak Magic. Very unusual method!
The performer shows a block of wood and bangs it on the table to show it solid. The block is placed into a box. Magician demonstrates that a wand can penetrate the die in the box by pushing it thru openings in the sides of the box (supply your own wand). A little bit of sucker byplay is then used and finally both of the doors are removed.
The back of the box is open so the spectators can see right through the box.
The block has vanished completely.
This is truly a beautiful and very mystifying effect with high quality workmanship.
Only one wooden block is used and no shells or flaps!
