Edwin’s Magic Crayons – Supreme Magic ESTATE

Here is a classic Supreme Magic (England) item that has been hard to find! Very good condition.

Supreme advertised it as follows:

A great hit when first shown to ‘ The Order of the Magi’ during Edwin’s Lecture on Children’s Magic and used in conjunction with the ‘Perplexing Paint Box’ .
EDWIN’S ‘MAGIC CRAYONS’ CAN BE USED IN COLLABORATION WITH ANY MAGIC PAINTING ROUTINE, ‘Instant Art’ , Toy town Painting’ , ‘Simple Silk to Rainbow’ ‘Magic Painting Palette’ Coloring Book and similar items. Anywhere where colours magically transpose.

THE EFFECT is simple. — A large carton marked ‘Crayons’ is shown and from it are tipped four giant—coloured crayons, size 5.1/4″ long and 1/2″ in diameter — one red, one yellow, one green and one blue. With the crayons Edwin now ‘ ‘draws a funny picture” of himself, one which gets an instant and immediate response from a youthful audience of prolonged laughter.
The crayons go back into the box, an elastic—band is placed around and the box is given to a child to hold.
All the business of magically transforming the colours, and now, when the crayons are tipped out of the box and freely shown, one at a time, THEY ARE NOW WHITE.
Hey! maybe there’s something inside the box but there isn’t, the box is immediately ‘IORN OPAI AND UP, it’s just an empty carton!
So marvellously simple! So simply marvellous!
