A whole routine built around a balloon pump with surprises and laughs galore!
Imagine you are intending to present an effect using a balloon, with an assisting child. You introduce the balloon pump, the type which consists of two sections and a nozzle, which when pumped back and forth, inflates balloons.
Kids are well familiar with this style of pumps as they are sold in Dollar stores etc.
The performer tells the children that sometimes his pump works and sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes it even has the rather naughty habit of playing tricks on him. The kids are asked to shout out if they see anything strange.
As the performer holds the pump in one hand. The outer section is seen to slowly rise up. The children start to shout but it is too late and the performer did not notice it.
The pump does it again and again, the magician does not seem to notice…..it drives the kids crazy….
