The performer shows “The Divining Stick” and explains that this is an ancient device used for testing intuitive response, similar to the classic dowsing stick or divining rod.

The performer places the stick on the spectators’ extended forefingers, and the spectator brings his fingers together, and they meet in the center of the stick. Next, the performer shows 5 ESP cards, each with a different symbol. The cards are shuffled face down by the spectator who then selects one card and places it face down on the table. The spectator extends his forefingers over the card and the performer places the rod on the fingers.

The spectator brings his/her fingers together and they meet at the symbol that matches the selected card when it is turned over. THE EFFECT MAY BE REPEATED AND EACH TIME THE ROD WILL STOP ON THE SELECTED CARD! Easy to do. No forcing of any kind. The spectator has a free choice of which card to select each time the trick is performed!
