This is a modern and elegant adaptation of an older Tenyo effect but with a different method.
The magician introduces a circular wood display stand with a string threaded through it. He shows the front and back, then pulls the string from side to side, proving it is a single, solid string. Next, he takes a pair of scissors and clearly cuts the string in the middle, right before the spectators’ eyes. But with a touch of magic, he pulls the string through the stand, and unbelievably it is fully restored!
