Card to Matchbox (Style I) – Tenyo

This comes from the estate of a long time German magic shop owner. Tenyo had this trick included in T-8 Trio Cigarette. I am assuming that the dealer bought quite a few of the Card to Matchbox in bulk. It is a simple yet stunning effect. the magician holds a playing card in his hand, he passes with his other hand over the card and it has suddenly changed into a box of matches. You are receiving two identical Card to matchbox in a poly bag with no instructions. I promise it will be immediately clear to you how this works. Please note that the playing card is smaller than a regular playing card. We will not supply any matches with the trick, however you can fill the matchboxes with regular matches (they were airmailed to Germany at the time and the regulations did not allow for a large quantity of matches to go by airmail.)
