I thought long and hard about keeping this item for my own collection but decided that others should have an opportunity to own this outstanding piece.
Released by Eckhard Boettcher thru his Zauberbutike and manufactured by master craftsman Tony Lackner in a limited edition of only 50pcs. It goes back to a rough idea described in Joe Wildon’s “Magisches Magazin” which was published as a house organ by Joe.
The “Astraluhr” is a very clever force device that allows to force any of 12 numbers or astrological signs. Everything in this outfit is so innocent and elegant: A gold colored base, a clear Plexiglas rod, the clear disc. More importantly everything is examinable but yet you are ready at a moments notice to set it up in front of the audience to force any of the 12 numbers or signs. The disc is shown on both sides, placed on a small pin and then spun and the resulting number or sign is completely under the performers control. You can use it several times during your show and the result will be different (if you want them to).
The number arrived at is not a hard stop but the disc will go back and forth (similar to a pendulum) to arrive at the number when the spinning of the disc slows.
The method behind this is so easy yet effective, it definitely falls in the “why didn’t I think of this category”
You receive English instructions for the exclusive use of the buyer together with the excellent condition props.
There is only one stand, the disc is 2-sided and can be used to either force (or reveal) one of the numbers or one of the signs.
