Animals Prediction – Hiro Sakai / Black Hat Magic

Hiro Sakai from Japan has been a successful magician and inventor for many years. Many of his effects have been best sellers. I am happy to have obtained one of his early releases from 1997 thru Black Hat Magic.

The premise is interesting.

6 cards each depicting a different animal (spider, scorpion, rattle snake, bee, frog and bat) are laid out. An envelope said to contain a prediction is placed in full view beside the cards. A spectator is asked to name a number between 1 and 6. This selection is entirely free and selects one of the animal cards. The prediction envelope is then open and to a sound effect matching the selected animal a smaller envelope is removed and a card matching the selection is removed…..it is the only card in the envelope.

What adds to the routine is that the reveal of the prediction is accompanied by a sound effect that matches the selected animal. This
