This is a very rare collectible manufactured by John Snyder Jr. in cooperation with Al Wheatley. It was a limited edition of up to 50 numbered pieces but it is unclear if all 50 were ever built. This one is serial number 18. The owner of this unit was the late J.B.Bobo as evidenced by the lettering at the bottom of the transport case “J.B. BOBO. Texarcana,TX”. It has reached us thru the estate of JP Jackson who bought part of the Bobo collection years ago.
The finest of card frames. Two chosen cards appear – back to back – sandwiched between two glass plates held in a wooden frame. As cards appear, a flash bulb hooked to the frame flashes, providing further misdirection. With original instructions, test lamp, bulbs, trigger/release, and wooden packing case.
The unit is in excellent condition and appears complete with original instructions. The trigger release is a newer model that has been upgraded at a later point. The wooden packaging case has seemingly seen a lot of travel and is seriously scratched on the outside (we are using a stock image so this is not visible in the picture). It needs to be re-stained. The hinge that is closing it, is still holding it together but may need to be replaced.
A very nice collectible piece that very seldom hits the marketplace.
