Horst Christ has been called the Taytelbaum of Germany before. There are similarities as both create small products from Plexiglas and other plastics and work very precise. It appears that Horst Christ pieces are even more elusive so collectors take note when they appear on the market.
This is Horst’s version of the Die Penetration that has been made by many different manufacturers under different names over the years.
The effect is well know: A small die is introduced and inserted into a tube where it can be seen thru a window at the top. A metal rod is inserted thru the tube and a hole in the die, thus the die is secured in place. The performer taps on the tube and the die falls into a waiting hand under the tube. It is an impossible seeming penetration.
The die remains visible in a large window until the very last second before it penetrates the steel rod.
In this version the tube is made from white plexiglass and decorated with black foil. It is approx. 5.5″ high. The die Is made from wood (1.5″ square). Light signs of use.
Complete, ready to perform!
I will include very brief instructions with this.
