Wayne Rogers of “Appearing Pole” fame had created this in 2004. It can be used as a in various gags, for example:
– Say a few words about “CREDIT CARD FRAUD.” Ad lib your own script around this subject leading to the punch line … “And under no circumstances ever REVEAL YOUR PIN!” and the Giant Pin appears.
– Wayne’s original idea was to show a new shirt still in the cellophane wrapping, drop the shirt and the pin would appear. The patter was along these lines: “Just bought myself a new shirt. I wish they wouldn’t wrap them with SO MANY PINS!”
In addition Wayne also describes a more serious routines: The performer shows a paper bag he says contains a mystery object. Four spectators are each asked to call out any single digit number they choose. These numbers are written down on a large board. He announces that the 4 digit number created happens to be his “Pin Number”. The paper bag is opened and a giant silver pin is produced When the pin is shown up close to members of the audience they see that a number is written on the pin in black ink. The number matches the one created by the audience.
