Show four beautiful, heavy brass medallions, each with one ESP symbol engraved in it: Star, Cross, Square and Wavy Line. The medallions are numbered 1 through 4 on the back. You also receive a wooden spinwheel. It has the numbers 1 through 4 as well. Ask a spectator to spin the wheel three or four times to prove that it is not prepared in any way. Whenever he likes, he stops spinning the wheel and accepts the number shown. The spectator looks at the selected medallion and is asked to hold a piece of transparent “mental crystal” in his hand while he concentrates on his symbol. The crystal has been in full view throughout the routine. After a few seconds, he opens his hand to find that the chosen ESP symbol has appeared on the surface of the glass crystal.
