This was one of the tricks described in Punx “Setz Euch zu meinen Fuessen” It was originally developed by Heinz Trunk and then released with the wonderful Punx patter.
It is supplied with German instructions (no English!) and a nicely made fancy version of the Chinese compass trick.
Not many were made and you will need to provide a piece of chalk.
