Very good used condition. The brass has a great patina, if you would like to polish, then that is an option. No instructions.
This is the early version where the cap is not locked with a padlock but a threaded bolt.
The man known for quality apparatus (brass in particular) was Carl Brema. At one time employed by Thayer Carl eventually struck out on his own to produce many fine, high-quality effects both large and small. This is the familiar Bill Tube.
The cap carries the recognizable CBS logo (Carl Brema & Sons).
A playing card or dollar bill is selected or borrowed and marked for future identification. In the basic handling a vanish is enacted with a handkerchief but any method which allows you possession of the marked item will work. The handkerchief is held by the spectator who can feel the dollar bill or selected card through the handkerchief and the performer produces a brass tube with a threaded cap and threaded bolt in place and sets that on the table. the presentation takes over because the effect for the performer is complete although in the mind of the spectator, he still maintains possession of the dollar bill. The handkerchief is whisked away and the dollar bill or card has vanished. The performer has not touched the tube since it was set on the table and before the vanish of the bill or card. The spectator himself picks up the tube and unscrews the bolt, then unscrews the cap and finds the vanished bill or card in the tube. This tube, cap, and bolt are examinable.
No handkerchief is included/
