Would profit from some TLC but is complete and working. No instructions (but will provide copies of the pages in the book where it has been written up), getting hard to find!
The gong is removed from the stand and a paper drumhead is formed, shown and put back on the wide-open stand. The paper is broken and silks are removed from the paper. At the finish, the gong can again be removed and shown to be free from any devices. Really a fooler.
This is an attractive artifice for the production of silks. Magician makes a drum-head on an open gong-like disc using tissue paper. It is shown on both sides and then hung in an open oriental frame that can clearly be seen through. Magician then breaks the paper and proceeds to produce an impressive quantity of silk handkerchiefs.
Stand is approximately 16″ high by 14″ wide: packs flat. Will hold approximately ten 18″ silks (not supplied). When outer edges of the paper extend beyond the Ring it conceals the gaff that drops down under your control. With your fingers you tear through the paper and extract the silks from the open circle on the gaff.
