Werry of Germany has had a very good relationship with Supreme Magic of England exchanging items with each other. topsy was manufactured by Supreme but this one comes with Werry’s Brief German instructions and brief write-up in English for the lucky buyer.
Topsy just moved into a new neighborhood and she admired the other girls wearing beautiful colored ribbons in their hair. She was upset that she did not have ribbons and went all sad into her house where she could be seen lonely by her window.
Her neighbor (you!) is a magician and intent on helping her. He took several colorful ribbons and put the in his hat. Puff they disappear…. Well not entirely as one seems to be sticking out from the bottom of hat. When the magician pulls on them the individual ribbons have become one long band. Inte the “hat” the band goes, this time they disappear and when Topsy comes out of the house she has beautiful ribbons all over her hair. these are not just painted, they are actual ribbons.
The house is constructed from wood, the picture from heavy cardboard. The hat is a cleverly constructed cone with two secret chambers.
Overall in very good condition given its age.
