This piece was depicted in the 1976 Tricks Catalogue No.1 and many magician drooled over it’s pictures. These well made wooden larger pieces by Tricks Co. show up for sale very rarely. Many of the larger wood pieces were made by Mikame (although we have no proof that this is the case here).
The basic handling is you open the small cabinet and take out the jumbo card showing that the cabinet is now empty. You then place the card into the larger cabinet with the two doors. Now you can do the standard byplay of a die box by tipping the box and then open the door showing the card gone. They tell you it is on the other side. You tip the box again and open up the other side showing the card is still gone. Of course they will shout it is now on the other side. You open the 2nd door while the 1st door is still open showing the cabinet empty on both sides. Now you can go to the small cabinet, open it and show that the card has returned to the small cabinet. The gaffs are quite ingenious on this effect- not like a standard die box. The bigger cabinet measures 13 1’2 “X 9” and the smaller cabinet measures 7” X 9 3/8”
In excellent shape and supplied with a copy of the English instructions. The catalogue in the picture is not included and serves as illustration only.
Great condition! Very rarely offered for sale.
