Jumpers – Mark Leveridge

Just when you thought the matrix effect had been exhausted – along comes JUMPERS! This is a strong visual matrix effect which has a great surprise finish – and it’s not difficult to do! Four Aces are fanned face up to show one of each suit. Turning the cards face down, the performer places one at each of the four corners of his close up mat. Two Jumbo cards are shown back and front. These Jumbo cards are momentarily lowered over the top two Aces and when they are lifted, instantly the Ace top right is seen to have jumped across to join the other Ace top left! Once again, the Jumbo cards are shown back and front, one in each hand (a great ‘throw off’ for those who thought an extra card might be held under the Jumbos!!) and they are lowered over the Aces top left and the Ace bottom right. Immediately the lone Ace jumps to join the other two top left. The final Ace is turned face up to show its value and is then moved to bottom right. The Jumbos are used as temporary covers again and the last Ace jumps to collect top left with the other three. The two Jumbo cards are placed to one side and the Aces spread back out to the four corners again. The performer will now repeat the effect just using his HANDS as covers. At first he appears to have failed as the cards stay exactly where they are – BUT THEN COMES THE SURPRISE FINISH! Three of the Aces are turned face up to reveal their card FACES have completely DISAPPEARED! When the fourth Ace top left is turned over, ALL THE PIPS HAVE GATHERED ON THIS ONE CARD FACE! Excellent visual magic with a knockout finish – supplied complete with all cards and illustrated instructions.
