Quality magic from Austria’s Paul Picha!
You introduce a small box that has a light and three different colored switches. You explain that only one of the switches will actually light the bulb.
The basic routine would be to introduce three chips in colors that correspondent with the switches. Two spectators are allowed to freely pick a chip and then press the matching switch. The last chip / color remains for the magician. As expected none of the selected colors ignites the bulb. The magician colored switch lights the bulb.
It does not matter in which order the switches are pressed. The magician could go first or second or third.
Can be instantly repeated with different colors. If you want to follow this up you could now make a magic move and suddenly all switches light the bulb.
Your hands are empty (no need to hide a magnet or remote control).
“In my own personal routine, I have applied small adhesive numbers to the switches, I do not need to reply on colors to associate the switches. I explain that I constructed the machine to always be able to prove that something is my property should the need arise. With this I take out my ring of keys to demonstrate. Two other small items are borrowed from the audience than a spectator is asked to randomly place the items on a sheet of paper with three square boxes that are numbered. Assuming my keys are in field number two (it is entirely random) switch one would be pressed, then number 3 to no avail. When switch 2 is pressed (which holds my keys) and the bulb lights indicating my ownership. After the borrowed items are return I then put one of my own items in each square and you guessed it …. now all three switches light the bulb” – Wolfgang Wollet
