2 1/2 Card Monte – Steve Shrott

A “Three Card Monte” effect using two normal size cards and a miniature card….. It’s amazing! The spectator and magician can’t keep track of the “little red card” as it mysteriously changes it’s value and the color of it’s back. The surprise climax is a guaranteed laugh getter! The performer tells a story about the time he went to a bar and met a beautiful woman named Tanya. She gets the magician to buy her a drink. Then she tells him that if he plays a card game with her and wins she let’s him take he out. Tanya takes two cards out of a blue backed deck and a miniature red card out of her pocket. let’s say the miniature one is the two of clubs. The woman mixes up the cards and asks the magician where the 2 of clubs is. It seems easy, but the performer guesses wrong. The small card has taken on the value of one of the larger cards. Tanya gets the magician to buy her another drink and then repeats the game. Again the magician guesses wrong. the miniature card has now taken the value of the other large card. More Drinks! The third time the game is played, the miniature card is left face up. The woman makes it even easier, and asks the performer a simple question: “Where is the little ered card?” The magician seemingly can’t fail. But he does because he back of the small red card now has turned blue. Tanya tells the magician she can’t go out with him because he lost the game. He is upset but says at least he has something to remember her by. He then reaches between the two normal sized cards and pulls out a long drink bill. A very entertaining and unusual routine. Comes with all necessary props and a 22 page illustrated manual.
